Immitating Amano, and Misc Doodles

Nearly all of the drawing I've been doing for the last few weeks has been preliminary work on a monster manual I'm working on. And even though my art won't be the final art which shows up in the product, it seems a little wrong to post art for a product that I'll eventually be asking people to pay money for.

However, I've also done some doodling of late which I'm proud of. Most of these are my attempts to imitate pieces by Yoshitaka Amano, one of my favorite artists. I mostly know him from the concept art he's done for games from the Final Fantasy series. His work is highly recommended.

I enjoyed making these the other night while I was sitting in bed.

I just noticed something.

I just realized today that the way I currently draw muscular men's chests looks a lot like a face.
